But no sooner had I thought that, and began to walk away, than another thought flashed into my mind, " Wait a minute... a camo cross? I don't think so!"
Thoughts began to quickly filter into my mind that I don't want the cross or Christ to be camouflaged in my life. I don't want the cross and its effects to be hidden... until such time as I happen to want to pull it out and show it to someone.
I'm so thankful for the cross and the sacrifice that my savior, Jesus Christ, made for me, upon it.
I am grateful for the blood that washed over my life, my sins and covered me in the forgiveness and righteousness of the only righteous one - Jesus - so that now I can boldy approach the throne of God in grace and confidence.
No. I still like camo, I still like brown, but I don't think I'll be wearing a camo cross on my shirt or, if the Lord will help me, upon my life. I want Christ and the cross to be visible anywhere and at all times, to everyone.

I agree with you - may Christ be very visible in the lives of all of us who are His followers. May the world see Him and be drawn to Him.
ReplyDeleteAmen sister!! It reminds me of the song I used to sing when I was a kid and I now sing to my own children. "This little light of mine..I'm gonna let it shine...Hide it under a bush OH NO!! I'm gonna let it shine!!" We definitely need to let the world see Christ through us.. nice post..
